5 weeks 5 days old
2.2 millimeters!
Look - The Heartbeat! At this age
it's been beating less than 24 hours.
6 weeks 3 days old
7.3 millimeters!
The little heartbeat's getting
stronger. It's now at 126 bpm!
7 weeks 6 days old
Amazing what a couple weeks makes
in the development! The photos are
upside down cause the baby is on
it's head..lol. You can clearly see
the umbilical cord leading left into
the developing placenta. The bright
lines on the cord are the functioning
veins.

The little circle in the upper right is
the yolk sac. The baby is in the
middle, and the umbilical cord is
going from the baby to the left wall.
Baby Bernhardt gave us a nice side
profile face shot here. You can see
an eye, the nose and mouth, arms
and legs. And no, that's not a boy
part showing...still too early for
that!
Just about 1.5 inches already

It was a long wait for us between
ultrasounds, but we got some great
shots on these. On this one, you
can clearly see Baby Bernhardt
sucking on his/her? thumb.
This one is kind of tough to see
what's going on, but once you see
it, it's amazing. The white mass on
the bottom left is the placenta.
Right above that, in the dark area
is the baby's face. The left is the
nose, the lips are in the middle, and
there is the chin. This was to make
sure that there was no cleft palate.
And, drumroll.....

It's a BOY!
